Dublin Lions Club celebrated 50 years of service in Ireland
at a ball in Jury's Hotel in Ballsbridge on 25th November 2005.
As the Dublin Club was the first Lions Club in Ireland, it
was
also the anniversary of Lions in Ireland.
Our Guest of Honour was an Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern T.D.
Lions Clubs from all over Ireland attended the celebrations
along with Lions from the UK and other International Lions
Clubs.
The very successful Lions Annual holiday project for the old and
lonely, which is now a district project due to the size, was
launched to mark our 25th anniversary. Dublin Lions Club
announced a major new
service to mark the occasion of our 50th Anniversary.
