Joey and Maria's Italian Wedding

On 6th May The Dublin Lions Club held a Italian /Mafia themed fundraising night with a difference in Fitzpatricks Castle Hotel, Killiney, “ Joey and Marias Italian Wedding” – an interactive Theatre night where by you become a guest as Joey and Maria tie the knot. It was a night of dinner, dancing, entertainment and a lot of fun. Many of our 300 guests got into the spirit of the evening by dressing in suitably loud mafia style gear. We even had a special visit from “El Papa” who won the prize for the best costume!

Thanks to the generosity of many kind sponsors, we held an excellent auction of items, including Bobby Charltons Jersey, Ryder Cup Tickets, a helicopter trip to Sheen Falls Hotel, The World Cup Football, and U2 concert tickets. The night proved to be a great success and was thoroughly enjoyed by all and we succeeded in raising in excess of 45,000 euros.
