Larkin College

Larkin Community College is a school based in the heart of Dublin City. Since it's foundation, the Dublin Lions Club has sought to support the school in various ways.

This includes an early donation toward books to start a library. The school used this seed capital to develop and now boasts a fully stocked library with a full time librarian.

A literacy room, to provide support for students with reading and writing difficulties was established in the school in 2004 with the aid of Dublin Lions. The room was officially launched by the Lions and is called the Lions Club Room.

More recently, Dublin Lions Club has been donating instruments and supporting the developement of the School Orchestra. The school performed in the John Field Room of the National Concert Hall as part of the outreach programme in association with the Dublin Docklands Developement Authority.
